OUGD403 Reflection (Studio Brief One)

For the next group crit, I had to narrow down and figure out which letterform I wanted to take forward to the next stage (Studio Task Two). I found this quite a difficult task, however I knew I wanted my typography to be kept quite simple. I narrowed my typography down the the mature wine letterforms, the cheese letterforms and the development letterforms. I figured the mature wine and mature cheese letterforms were good and could definitely be successful as a typeface, however I think these letterforms are quite playful, which doesn't really define the word mature at all. For this reason I chose to focus on the letterforms that develop as the letter develops.
